I know when everyone went to school there was the kid who was picked on a lot. It seems childish looking back on it, but that is childhood for you. Well this seems to be happening on my server. In fact my guild leader is the preverbal fat kid, well him and his destruction counter part.

Both seem to get this because they are very voiceterous about what they think needs to happen and they go for it. Additionally they both are known for soloing in scenarios. Both of which I see no harm in especially considering that they are both very successful in their campaigns. Additionally, in the case of my gl he has lead us to several fortress attempts in the last few weeks, which until then it had only been an item for destruction.

I never saw and or heard of this person back on Vortex, but I also only PVE'ed with my Zealot almost exclusively. I do have to admit that I wonder if others experience this on other servers or if they might be this whipping boy for the rest of their faction. I know that as of recently it has only been a very small minority who are like this now on the order on Skull Throne, but these are the same people who where called out for 1v1 RP farming.

Anyone seeing any of this happening on their server?

I see this happening on my server on Ironclaw. The person who gets picked on though is almost always the warband leader of stronger guilds/warbands, if something does not go according to the plan then the whole server seems to simply blame it all on this leader. When it goes well though, it was their accompishment. It also seems to have some correlation with forum regulars, they are either loved or hated.

I have to agree that there seems to be that dichotomy between the forum trolls and the people in game who decide to pitch their opinion of who needs to be doing what or in correlation to the love hate relationship created by leadership and their followers

Soloing scenarios really explains the dislike. People like that are not teams players and will never be team players. You should rename your article, "Your Mother was wrong. Ignoring Idiots doesn't work." or how about, "The guy that cut you off in traffic today, plays MMO's"

I disagree; you can be a team player without being on a team. Both the soloer and the group member are going for the same goal, they are just trying to achieve it through different means. Additionally, why would you waste your skill on other players when you should be getting yourself in the best position possible? I understand why people don't like it, but there are a lot of good reasons to do it. Additionally, I solo heal in scenarios all the time, so you are telling me I am not a team player because I am not in the group? I have to laugh at that since my reward is based on helping others. I think that your premise may be correct in some situations, but misguided in the light you are putting it in.
