Last night begin my 10th run for a chest piece through Sigmar crypts, several others in the group where on runs 30+ for this illusive item. With wards being so important at end game, this endless run through instances seems to be the only thing holding people back from advancement. No other item in this game is more critical than the warded armor. Taking fortresses requires wards, doing city PQ's on an invasion requires wards, killing the king requires wards.
Now the first thing you will think is I am asking for a hand out, and that is the farthest from the truth. I think getting gear should be hard, but not seemingly impossible. There should be no reason someone should have to run and instance 30 times only to get let down once again. I don’t have a good suggestion because I don’t agree with bosses dropping items for just the classes in the group that is running an instance. Possibly a token system, but even then that is a very weak option. Possibly up the amount dropped in city instance dungeons. That could be a very nice change to the current system. Instead of 2 items dropped from a set make it 3 with the chance of a belt, and other items, or a final idea would be to lower the timer on the instance lockouts from 3 days to 2 days. It would still put a lock down on it but it would allow for limited access as it is now so it can't be endlessly farmed.
Clearly loot is yet to its optimal levels, but it has progressed. As more and more people start running instances and seeing them, people will get much better at them. 30 times is a bit much, but like most games it comes and goes. People have lucky streaks then months of nothing. This game is still young and will go though a lot more changes, where the wards play in, we have yet to see.
