I saw this first hand yesterday and I was a bit irritated by it. First and foremost people should know that you can not run through standards when they are planted, you have to run around them.

So...yesterday at the for defense to prevent order from getting into the fort they would put a standard in front of the poster doors. This means that you can not click on the door because the standard is covering it.

This got me to thinking, instead of tank walls in the lord room why not standard walls, with tanks behind them. That would prevent any and all advancement on a keep/fort. I think that this is a minor problem with standards and pathing but it is also a big one because of the abuse that it opens the game to. Instead of having to defend a postern door you just throw a standard up and shazam that is a door that is now inaccessible, or even with the other above scenario.

It is ingenious and I credit those on destruction who figured it out on Praag, but it is still and exploit that can and will affect others. So be wary of the potential uses of this bug for now and petition it when you see it. The ability to block a path is important but to render access completely null in void is a bit of a problem.

I heard from a guy who heard from a guy that people were being banned for that on my server a couple weeks back.

I would not be surprised about banning people for this, but it is rather hard in the middle of a siege to watch what everyone does...

Yeah, the specific instance I heard about was a group who put a couple banners in front of their gate, obviously doing it with intent. It becomes pretty obvious what's happening and since each banner is tied to one person, I can't imagine it being that difficult for GMs to figure out who did it.

The only problem is getting a CSR out there when it is happening you know, but I do think that it is an obvious exploit that needs to be dealt with.
